Me: Ohh Good Morning. Its IUI day
Nathan: I am all ready. I took a cold shower today, a semi-cold shower yesterday. I am wearing loose boxers and pants. I think my boys are ready.

...I so love my DH! He is the best. In less than an hour, he is going to be at the fertility clinic!

Tomorrow

I am super excited about our first IUI tomorrow. 

I cannot believe this is actually happening.

My doctor's appointment is at 11:30am.. DH goes around 9:30 to give his sample. I have been cramping today a little; I am hoping its a sign of ovulation. I found myself searching for first time IUI success stories. I am sitting here watching videos on YouTube about the process of an IUI...

and DH is sitting next to me watching videos of babies

IUI # 1 Here We Come...

I went to the fertility clinic this morning and I have two follicles. One follicle measuring 20mm, and the other one measuring 15mm. I was sent home with homework. DH and I have to watch this video on how to give self-injections, etc. So, I will trigger tonight; around 11:30pm, and go in for the IUI on Wednesday at 11:30am. I am super excited. I am going to ask DH to create a playlist on my iTouch so I can listen while they are doing the procedure. The nurse draw a circle where the injection needs to go; hopefully, DH can see it and it won't hurt too much.

I am happy! :) and hoping this works!

Ultrasound

I am so nervous about tomorrow's ultrasound. I am really hoping to have some good follicles so we can move forward with the IUI. DH goes tomorrow (two hours later than me) to store his "boys" until I am ready for the IUI. I got my medicines delivered this weekend; it looks like I am going to be doing 100mg of progesterone vaginal suppositories twice a day. I am still unclear about the usage of these suppositories since they did not come with an applicator. I also have the HCG shot in the fridge.

I am going to try my hardest/best to be relax for this IUI. We are doing TI as well so we have a higher change of the spermies meeting with the egg(s). For now, I am just praying that I have a few mature follicles :)

I hope I get some sleep tonight.

Update: Sonohysterogram

I went to the doctor's last Monday to get my Beta; however, AF arrived before the clinic called with the results. I went in for all the blood work the RE ordered and today I was told everything was good; except, my AMH levels are low. The doctor did not seem concern and still wants to move forward with the IUI.

I also had the Sonohysterogram today and the results were all good :)

I am really excited about doing IUI for the first time. I am taking 100mg Clomid and going to the doctor's on Monday to see when I get the trigger shot. He will also be adding progesterone gel this cycle. DH goes to the doctor's on Monday to prepare for the IUI and had blood work done today.

I am assuming we are doing the IUI between Tuesday and Friday of next week. I guess we won't really know until I see how many and how mature my follies are on CD12.

What's Next?

I had a doctor's appoinment yesterday with a new RE... it was awesome! So here is the plan:

Beta on Monday (if AF doesn't show her ugly face)....

If not pregnant, I am doing the following:

• FSH, LH, Estradiol, AMH (blood drawn on days 2, 3, or 4 of menses)
• Baseline Transvaginal Ultrasound (done on days 2,3, or 4 of menses)
• Preconception blood work (Rubelle, Varicella)
• Female Infectious Disease Panel (blood draw for HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, RPR)
• Sonohysterogram

and after all the tests are done, I will be doing Clomid, IUI, plus progesterone gel

....so for now, I am waiting for AF or a BFP!

DH and I went to see a new RE and it was awesome. The doctor was so nice, caring, and knowledgable. I am happy and looking forward to working with him.

I am doing a whole new series of tests, will write about that later. For now, I am enjoying watching a newly found show called Revenge... It's so good :)
